Botox Injections

Botox injections are commonly done by numerous health care professionals. The procedure is quick and done as an out patient.

Once the face is rinsed, the area of the injections is premarked. The injections are done with a very fine needle and are only mildly painful

The number of injections is variable and depends on the area, extent and depth of wrinkles and facial features

Some areas of the face may require 2-4 injections and other areas may require more, in most individuals, 10-15 injections are common

After the injections there is rapid recovery and no downtime

One can resume the normal activities right after the procedure

One should not rub the areas where the injections have been made. This can push the toxin to migrate into different parts of the face

The effects of Botox are not immediate and the full cosmetic benefit is seen after 7-10 days. The results of Botox are not permanent and may last anywhere from 2-3 months.
