MULTI-DISPLAY DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIERS

Gefen introduces two new distribution amplifiers that enable the delivery of Component video to multiple displays. The 1:8 Component/Audio Cat-5 distribution amplifier (shown) transmits eight Component video signals with high definition resolutions up to 1080p as far as 1,000 feet, along with audio in both analog and digital formats, over a single Cat-5 cable. The 1:4 Component/Audio Cat-5 has the same functionality but features distribution to four displays. Both systems include power supplies, Component and audio cables, and the sender/distribution amplifier. Receivers are sold separately.

MONITORING SWITCHER

The 1602HD monitoring switcher series from Sierra Video is designed for broadcast and post-production facilities, live-to-air applications, remote trucks, and duplication houses needing to monitor or maintain multiple HD/SDI or SDI video sources. A multi-format digital video routing switcher, it is capable of passing standard serial digital video signals, including SMPTE 310M, SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M, and DVB-ASI up to 540 Mbps along with HD serial digital video signals conforming to SMPTE 292M, says the company. It also offers front-panel push-button control and is outfitted with RJ45 connectors for IP communication over Ethernet.
